Lost grave, can anyone help? Captain Daniel M. CALDWELL, born 1827 died on July 4, 1885. Died in Beaver Lake and the body was returned to Ann Arbor area for burial. Would presume he would have been buried with an earlier wife, Lucy HALLOCK/HALLECK who died in 1875.

By 1820, he lived in Marcellus, Onondaga Co., NY. He was first married to Eva KILMER(christened 7 Oct 1792, West Copake, Columbia Co., NY, died in childbirth 17 Nov 1819, probably Florida, Montgomery Co., NY). Jeremiah and Eva had 5 children: Philip CRAMER, who married Sarah MOREHOUSE and Mary MOREHOUSE and died in Angola, Steuben Co., IN; Rebecca Eva CRAMER, who married Martin EDDY and died in Victory, Cayuga Co., IN; George CRAMER, who married Rebecca HAND and lived in Woodland, Barry Co., MI; Peter CRAMER, who married Artemesia LOWRY and Mary Ann MONCEY. He lived for a time in Woodland, Barry Co., MI, and moved to Pentwater, Oceana Co., MI, and Joseph CRAMER, no further information. Stephen CUMMIN(GS)S (5) 1736 to about 1815. He was born 13 Dec 1736 in Attelboro, Mass and resided in Coventry, RI then Pownal, VT where he served in the American Revolution then removed to Pittsfield, New Lisbon Otsego Co., New York where he probably died around 1815. He was the son of Abraham Jr. (4) Abraham (3) John (2) Isaac of Topsfield, Mass. 1630(1) Many descendants removed to Erie and Stueben Co., NY then to Michigan. Have located his descendants Emmet County. Have more than 5,000 descendants of this CUMMINGS family in a data-base and will be happy to share. I would like some information on my grandparents.....Harry James DALE or Olga Marion (BORROUSCH) DALE.. Olga was born on December 28, 1898. She was adopted from an orphanage in Cheboygan, MI. Her biological mother's last name was possibly GUISE...her adoptive parents were Charles and Mary BORROUSCH. Olga's ss# is 376-03-5589 She died in June of 1984...thought to have been in Detroit!

I am searching for information about Benjamin DAVIS (1830-?), who married in 1851 to Caroline HORTON. He was the son of William C. DAVIS (1799-1891). Benjamin DAVIS was in the Civil War, but got a medical discharge. He and Caroline apparently separated, and Caroline may have remarried. They had two children; Orpha DAVIS (1853-1903) and a son, name not known. What happened to Benjamin DAVIS after the war? Did Caroline remarry? Any information greatly appreciated.

He moved to Michigan from New York. That's where the search dead-ends. I don't know when he came, nor do I know what his parents' names were. He was married to Emeline BECKELY in New York. Edward DOERSAM with wife, Clara nee STANNARD and children: Rose Marie (born Dec 1890) and Charles G. (born 1892) appear in the 1894 MI census. They are living in Milan and Edward is employed as a saloon keeper. By the 1910 census, Edward is dead and family has relocated to Detroit. Looking for Edward's death date, place of burial.

Looking for information about Edward DRAKE, b 1800 d 1885. He
married Orpha WATERS and they had 11 children. They are buried
in the Lodi Cemetary. He was born in New York, but I am unable to
find any trace of his birthplace. I believe his brother is Goveneur
(George) DRAKE, b 1802 in Orange County married to Almira ROSE.
These DRAKEs might be related to the Oakland County DRAKEs. His
parents might be Francis and Hanna DRAKE, but I have no proof.

I am looking for Joseph ERSKINE and his family. He was married to
sisters (first Jane BROUGHTON and then Elizabeth BROUGHTON). His
children from his second marriage are all found in Saginaw and Midland
Counties. They are: Hersey ERSKINE married to Maria WATSON (my g-grandfather), Martha ERSKINE married to Henry SOFFE, Mary ERSKINE married to Simmon CHAMBERLAIN and Josephine ERSKINE married to Alanson BROWN. Many of his family are found to be buried in Hemlock, Saginaw County, Michigan. Joseph was born in Andes Twp., Delaware Co., NY in 1821. Probably married in Steuben Co. New York as that is where most of the children were born. Would like to find place of death. Also would like to correspond with any ERSKINE searchers. Born Sandusky, OH, May 25, 1854, daughter of James K___ LOCKWOOD, Alpena Co pioneer lumberman and ??. They may have lived in Port Huron, then family moved to Alpena in 1862 (James in 1860), May have lived in Detroit. Kate claimed to have attended the University of Michigan. Is this true? (they claim she is not a graduate) She was married to Albert FRENCH, architect, in Ann Arbor ca 1875. By 1886 Kate was known as LOCKWOOD again. What happened to Albert? Kate lived in NYC then moved to California by 1890. By 1893 she was known as an architect! wife of Louis L. NEVINS. Did she ever have children? (not in Calif) Kate had older sister Clara who m Henry SEAGE, who became a business partner of her father. When father James K. LOCKWOOD died in 1882 while on business in Sandusky, OH, he left a widow Eliza. Is this a second wife? If so, who was first wife and when did she die
