ASHTON
I found a record of a marriage betweeen I.C. ASHTON and an
Etha Linda MICHEL on Aug 2, 1837 in Washtenaw County, MI. I have
never seen the name Etha Linda before and my GGGGrandmother,
whose maiden name was MARY L. ASHTON, named her daughter,
ETHALINDA NILES. I am sure the possibility that these people
may be related to my MARY L. ASHTON is great, but I know
nothing about them. Can anyone supply me with further information
about them? Thank you for any help. UPDATE: 30 Jun 1997---I have
found a possible missing link in my family tree. In the LDS
microfiche records, I found an I.C. ASHTON who married an ETHA LINDA
MICHELS in Washtenaw county in approx 1834. No other information
was given and it is important for me to learn anything I can about
these two people. I believe they may have moved to New York,
Cattaraugus county, sometime prior to 1841, but I have not been
able to locate them. Can anyone shed a ray of light on these
people or their families.
