Welcome To The
Little Traverse Historical Society, Inc.
The Little Traverse Historical Society is located at the waterfront in Petoskey, Michigan in what once was the Chicago and West Michigan Railroad depot.
Originally built in 1892 to accommodate the large influx of summer resorters, the depot now holds the Little Traverse
History Museum, which serves all of the Little Traverse Bay area.
Everyone is welcome to visit and enjoy the Museum and members may make use of the growing research facilities and resource material that has been collected over the years.
Resource materials include:
- City Directories
- Historical Information on Emmet County
- Petoskey News-Review...1876-1989
- Greenwood Cemetery burial Records
- St. Francis Cemetery burial Records
- Bliss Cemetery burial Records
- Conway Cemetery burial Records
Tuesdays and Thursdays are research days ('til further notice). Call for an appointment to reserve time for your research so that a staffer can be on hand to assist you.
We can't do this without your support.
Because our progress depends entirely upon volunteers, membership dues, grants and gifts, we respectfully invite your participation.
Your tax-deductible donation is appreciated.
Yearly membership dues are:
- Joint (2 family members)...$25.00
